Renowned Somali lawyer Ahmednasir Abdullahi has hit out the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) Party disciplinary committee for recommending expulsion of Malindi Town MP Aisha Jumwa and her Msabweni counterpart Suleiman Dori.
The famous flamboyant lawyer claims that ODM’s action is an act of hypocrisy.
He argues that is unfair for the Raila Odinga-led party to recommend Jumwa and Dori’s expulsion for associating with Deputy President William Ruto.
“ODM doesn’t see irony of disciplining Hon. Dori and Aisha for expressing support for DP Ruto, No. 2 of Jubilee yet it is ok for Hon. Raila ODM party leader to support the policies and politics of HE Uhuru No 1 of Jubilee," the Senior Counsel wrote on his official Twitter account.
"ODM is obviously a ruler of animal farm,” the senior lawyer added.
On Tuesday, the Orange party disciplinary committee recommended for Jumwa and Doris expulsion.
The Raila Odinga led party said that Jumwa and Dori have openly contravened the party’s regulations and should be expelled.
Jumwa and Dori who were elected on ODM party ticket have openly shown and declared support for DP Ruto’s 2022 presidential bid.
