Nyali Member of Parliament Mohammed Ali has weighed in on the alleged assassination plot against Deputy President William Ruto.
Speaking on Wednesday at Parliament buildings, the legislator said that no one should be killed in the name of power.
He opined that a lot of political assassinations have happened in the country in the recent past, adding that people are closely following the assassination claims against DP Ruto.
"We are connecting the dots of intelligence. We are not fools. We are watching and we are seeing what is going on in this country. It started in Lamu when somebody said that the DP's name will not be in the ballot. In Nyeri, his security detail were taken away.
"There was an au' dio doing rounds of a certain CS talking about Kiambaa. A lot of people are talking about these issues privately, and in a different tone of language," he said.
The youthful legislator wondered why four Cabinet Secretaries met at a hotel to discuss development issues, yet they had offices provide for by the government.
On Monday, three Cabinet Secretaries; Joe Mucheru (ICT), Peter Munya (Trade), Sicily Kariuki (Health), appeared before the DCI to shed more light on the allegations.
Addressing the media outside the DCI offices, the Cabinet Secretaries termed the allegations as unfounded.
"These are very serious allegations especially coming from the person of the stature of the deputy president occupying an extremely powerful and important office in this land.
"I think it is irresponsible, unfair and intended to portray us in a very bad light so that we look like criminals who meet to plot criminal activities against him. It is also intended to injure our reputation as law abiding citizens," Munya said on behalf of the group.
