Makadara Member of Parliament George Aladwa his maintained that the opposition's National Super Alliance (NASA) remains intact as it was in the 2017 elections.
However, the sentiments come at a time when the alliance co-principals Raila Odinga, Musalia Mudavadi, Moses Wetangula and Kalonzo Musyoka seem distant after Raila's presidential loss.
Speaking on Monday, Aladwa who is a close Raila ally termed the said collapse of the alliance baseless and a making of the media which cannot be justified.
"NASA iko sawa maana hatujaambiwa imebomoka. Ni watu wa media ndio wanajua imebomoka. (NASA remains intact and upright, the collapse claims are a narrative of the media)," said the lawmaker who was speaking on Radio Maisha's Bunge La Maisha show on Tuesday morning.
The MP said that the four leaders have not been seen together or jointly addressing coalition issues because there is no reason compelling them to do so.
But he said that they remain united and are always ready to come together whenever need be, as was the case during the launch of the Huduma Namba registration last week.
"Hawashikani maana kwa sasa hakuna cha kuwaleta pamoja lakini si hata majuzi walionyesha wako pamoja kwa kujitokeza katika yale maswala ya Huduma Namba. (They are always ready to come together when there is a reason to do so, as was witnessed recently for the launch of Huduma Namba)," added Aladwa.
NASA brings together the Raila Odinga-led Orange Democratic Movement (ODM), Amani National Congress (Musalia Mudavadi) and the Moses Wetangula-led Ford Kenya party.
The other is former Vice President Kalonzo Musyoka's Wiper Democratic Movement (WDM).
