A one minute delay made the management to shift him to another plane as the ill fated Ethiopian Airlines plane which he had booked crashed just six minutes after taking off Bole International Airport.

On his Facebook page, Otuke, a leading political operative from Gusii who travels often, said people should not question delays because only one minute made a difference between life and death for him.

"Sometimes never blame delay caused by unknown reasons. God is ALWAYS at your service.I pass my personal condolences to the family and friends of the 32 Kenyans who died aboard the ill fated Ethiopian plane destined to Nairobi from Bole International airport Adis Ababa, Ethiopian this morning only 6 minutes after take off.

"A delay made a huge difference.Landed home safely. It was just a one minute difference and just like that, God saved my life," he narrated.

All 149 passengers and eight crew members perished just six minutes after take off from Bole International Airport with authorities saying they are still investigating the possible cause of the crash.

Kenya lost 32 lives, the highest fatalities in the crash with Canada losing 18 people. The deceased were of 33 nationalities and we're destined to land in Nairobi on Sunday at around 10am local time.

Mr Otuke is synonymous with updating his Facebook friends whenever he takes a flight and often updates his whereabouts. He is tipped to be eyeing a political seat in Gusii.
