An elected Member of Parliament from Nyamira County allied to Jubilee party has defended his closeness with Deputy President William Ruto.
North Mugirango MP Joash Nyamoko argued that his association with DP Ruto has nothing to do with is performance in the constituency.
"DP Ruto and I are great friends. My closeness with him won't derail my development agenda in the constituency," he said.
Mr Nyamoko dismissed a section of locals who have been criticizing and condemning him for associating with DP Ruto.
"Ruto has not trained me to be a thief as some individuals are claiming. I chose to be close with DP Ruto since we share same development ideologies. Political nemesis should criticize me positively but, not to the extent of my personal friendship with leaders," he added.
The vocal legislator promised that the Kebuye -Nyamage-Bisembe road which is in a bad condition will be upgraded.
"I am determined to ensure roads and expanded in the region for easy movement of people," he stated.
According to the MP, political brokers won't hack his development plan in the region.
