Kitutu Chache South MP Richard Onyonka has accused Nyatieko Secondary School principal in his constituency of mismanagement of funds.
On Wednesday, Hivisasa highlighted the dire state of latrines in the school, causing an uproar among constituents.
In a heated WhatsApp group debate where the story was posted, Onyonka strongly criticised the school's principal, Oroni Omwoyo for not utilizing well Sh1 million received from the Ministry of Education in 2018.
"If I give you 1m and you can't do your toilets, then you have a problem. All schools get capitation money. How come they can't use some of that to do a toilet? Where does the money go, wacha siasa Bwana," Responded Onyonka.
In a rejoinder, Omwoyo who spoke to Hivisasa in an exclusive interview stated that the Sh1 million the school got from the Ministry of Education was channelled towards the construction of the school's laboratory.
However, Onyonka added that: "I have made my case, whoever that has seen the toilets should call for a PAT meeting and ask the head and parents where he takes his money. The Sh1m was from the Ministry of Education through CDF. Am the one who allocated the money through a budget committee," he stated.
"Just Like the way the MP should be accountable on public funds, all teachers must also be accountable on how they spend government funds in some case; it is millions. Lazima Kieleweke."
