Barely a week after President Uhuru Kenyatta Kenyatta sacked former Sports, Culture and Heritage Cabinet Secretary Rashid Echesa, a vocal legislator now wants the Head of State to crack the whip again and fire more CSs.
Suba South Member of Parliament John Mbadi stated that there are cabinet secretaries who should be fired for letting Uhuru down.
"The President needs to take a second look at his Cabinet and remove all those who are not performing," he said during an interview on KTN.
Mbadi, who is also the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) party chairman, said Uhuru should not hesitate to fire Lands Cabinet Secretary Farida Karoney.
"There are various socialites in the Cabinet who are not performing. Nothing is moving in Farida Karoney's Ministry," he said during Check Point show on Sunday night.
The ODM boss commended the President for CS Amina Mohamed's reassignment during Friday's mini Cabinet reshuffle, noting she had messed up the Education docket.
Amina was transferred to the Sports Ministry to replace Echesa who was dismissed under unclear circumstances.
The Kenya National Examination Council (KNEC) chairman George Magoha was nominated to take over from her.
"I am glad CS Amina was moved from the Education Ministry, there was total confusion in that docket," Mbadi stated.
