The Ohangla singer became popular for his debut song "Raila Tibim", in praise of opposition leader Raila Odinga prior to the last general election.

In an interview with Sunday Nation, the singer revealed that the album focuses on the reconciliation pact between President Uhuru Kenyatta and Opposition leader Raila Odinga that was sealed by their March 9 handshake.

“My new album is dedicated to efforts by our leaders to promote peace and reconciliation in the country after the heated electioneering period,” said Jalamo.

Among the songs contained in the album include: "Mula Mos", "Queen Nyakathomo", "Kogallo Gor Mahia", "Ugenya Dala" and "Silas Jakakimba".

Onyi Jalamo recently met Raila Odinga in his Capitol Hill office in Nairobi with the help of Mr Odinga’s advisor Silas Jakakimba.

The singer,  however,  blamed political brokers close to opposition politicians for disappearing with money in the political rallies and events he performed.

“I came to realise that I lost a lot of money through brokers who organised functions for the opposition politicians,” lamented Ochieng'.
