The county boss was among the leaders who accompanied the DP in his tour of Njoro constituency, Nakuru county, on Saturday.

This comes barely two days after President Uhuru Kenyatta reportedly ordered the withdrawal of his security, among a number of other politicians allied to Ruto.

But as if in defiance, the county boss went on to fully engage in politicking, one of the reasons thought to have caused his woes and confirmed that Central Kenya region will rally behind the DP in his 2022 presidential bid.

He also lashed out at opposition leader and Uhuru's new ally Raila Odinga for allegedly trying to break the ruling Jubilee Party, warning that his efforts will be in vain.

On his side, Bahati MP Kimani Ngunjiri who also accused Raila of similar attempts urged the former Prime Minister to keep off Jubilee issues and let it develop the nation.

“We will not accept any division brought in between President Kenyatta and Dr Ruto. If you are a failure, you are a failure,” said the lawmaker, according to the Citizen Digital.

Other MPs who had their security details withdrawn are Kikuyu MP Kimani Ichungwa, Alice Wahome (Kandara) and Nakuru Senator Susan Kihika, all of whom are allied to Ruto.
