Speaking on Radio Citizen on Thursday morning, Senate Speaker Ken Lusaka confirmed the same, saying that he approved Wako's departure for Geneva City, Switzerland.

He added that the Senior Counsel has been practising his profession during the time, adding that the lawyer has been handling an international case.

"Seneta Wako amekuwa Geneva kwa shughuli za kikazi ndio maana amekuwa mnyamavu. Yeye ni wakili wa kimataifa na anashughulikia kesi ya kimataifa, lakini amerudi sasa.(He has been out on work purposes. He is handling an international case but has since returned)," he said.

Senator Wako is yet to weigh-in on among others, the additional tax on petroleum and its products, one of the hottest national debates currently.

His stand in the debate which has since seen leaders take sides remains unknown as of now as well, at a time when the leaders have pledged support for or against the 8 per cent increment.

He has also remained silent on the rising political temperatures in the country, three years to the much anticipated 2022 presidential election.
