Kirinyaga Governor Anne Waiguru has recounted the last days of the late Governor Joyce Laboso.
In an interview with KTN’s Point Blank on Wednesday, Waiguru said that she surely misses the late county boss. She noted that Laboso was always a happy person who loved music.
The former Devolution Cabinet Secretary reiterated that she used to share good times with the deceased before death took her away.
Waiguru also said that she was among her best friends, adding that politicians also have friends just like any other persons in this world.
“My fondest memories of her is dancing. She was a very happy person. She was very easy but our fondest moments we’ve had a few times when we had some good music and dance. I think those are some of my fondest memories when I see her happy. I remember it was just the other day not long time ago. She was always a voice of reason amongst us.
"Even as friends many people forget that politicians also have friends and more often you will find that you have friends within the political circle and she was in my political circle of friends,” she said.
Laboso died after a long battle with cancer. She was laid to rest in Koru, Fort Tenan in Kisumu in accordance with her wish and Luo tradition where her husband Edwin Abonyo hails.
