Singer Esther Akothee has revealed her plans to quit secular music.
Speaking during an appearance at the relaunch of EMB, a music label owned by gospel singer Kevin Bahati, the singer, who is known for her controversial career, said she no longer finds a reason to remain in the secular industry.
She noted that she has realized her worth and now it’s time to turn on a new leaf.
She also said that the secular industry is full of hypocrisy and she is no longer ready to live in such a world any more.
“In the secular industry, you don’t know if someone you are speaking to is your enemy or supporter. We don’t have cheerleaders in this industry, we have killers of talent,” she said in part.
The singer has been making headlines since she entered the entertainment sector. She has faced endless criticism because of the stunts she keeps pulling during her performances. She has, however, been telling of her critics that she is not anyone’s role model. The singer is among the wealthiest women in the nation.
Take it or leave it, Akothee will never stop speaking her mind whenever she appears in public. Over the years, she has enjoyed a stellar career in the music scene.
