Over 13,000 Nairobi County government workers downed tools demanding implementation of 15 percent pay rise that was part of the 2017 CBA which has not been honored since it was signed.

The strike comes at a time when the country is facing a lot of challenges together with the nurses strike across the counties due to pay demands and allowances.

The strike by the Nairobi county workers now taints the image of devolution and places the county governor on the spot for failure to handle the county.
