A former Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) Party MP has thrown weight behind Deputy President William Ruto ahead othe 2022 general elections.
Former Nyamira County Women Representative Alice Chae said DP Ruto is traversing the country to sell his development ideologies to Kenyans.
She said Kenyans come 2022 won't elect leaders based on the political parties sponsoring them.
"Ruto is committed to clinch Presidency. I like the way he is carrying himself around attending various fund drives but, his critics aren't happy. Winning Presidency in 2022 will be so easy for him unlike other aspirants who are deeply asleep," she noted.
The former Egesa FM radio presenter warned Gusii local leaders against divisive and hatred politics.
"Politics based on political parties will only subdivide Kenyans. I am appealing to Gusii politicians to be peace ambassadors and champion for development for the sake of boosting the lives of our people," she added.
She challenged women go for more elective posts to compete with men.
"As women we should not shy off from taking up leadership roles. Let us compete with men," stated Ms. Chae.
