The Wednesday report also ranked Kirinyaga Governor Anne Waiguru the second, with both leaders coming out to condemn the firm for allegedly propagating lies.

But speaking on NTV’s AM Live Tuesday morning, Khalwale urged Ruto to take the matter lightly, noting that he is indeed being fought by political rivals.

He advised the DP to expect more of such as he clocks nearer to his 2022 presidential bid, stating that he should not allow himself to be derailed by such findings.

‘’Ruto should not condemn or take the firm to court as what he is experiencing currently is the actual nature of politics,’’ said Khalwale.

‘’If he is going to remain in the race for presidency then he must expect more of such,’’ added the former Kakamega gubernatorial hopeful.

The remarks were echoed by Rarieda lawmaker Otiende Amollo whop instead challenged Ruto to prove his innocence by disproving the firm and clearing his now tainted name.

‘’He should go out of his way and disprove the allegations,’’ said the lawyer.

Ruto has since termed the report fake, saying that it has been influenced by his political enemies whose main aim is to block his 2022 victory.
