Orange Democratic Movement party treasurer Timothy Bosire has lashed at Deputy President William Ruto, accusing him of 'roaming around' to bribe voters.
In a candid swipe at the DP on Wednesday, the former Kitutu Masaba MP said Ruto's trips to Nyamira scheduled on Friday will not bore any fruits, adding that people are 'aware of his lies'.
Mr Bosire, who has been at loggerheads with the DP for a while now, blamed the MPs from the region for 'falling prey' to Ruto, who he says has been launching ghost projects.
"He is just wasting his time with those trips. Our people are not stupid. They know his lies already and they will show him off when the right time comes," he said.
Mr Bosire added: "He has been launching ghost projects in Gusii and Friday will not be different. If I were to attend, I will demand to know what he did for Magwagwa Multi-purpose dam."
The dam was stopped after it emerged that millions of money was diverted to Kimwarer and Arror dams, whose construction has also stalled.
West Mugirango MP Vincent Kemosi on Wednesday issued Dr Ruto's itinerary. The DP will attend four functions in West Mugirango and Borabu.
"May I take this opportunity to invite you to events coming up on Friday 31st May, 2019 to be presided over by His Excellency William Ruto in West Mugirango and Borabu Constituencies," he said.
