Hearing of a forgery case against Kapkures ward MCA Paul Kimtai together with his close aide Richard Langat was adjourned as the magistrate was away on official duties.
Senior resident magistrate Yvonne Khatambi adjourned the matter to October 12 stating that the court handling the case was not sitting.
She directed that the parties appear before the trial court for fixing of a hearing date.
During the last mention of the case, lawyer Gordon Ogolla for the MCA had applied to have the trial stopped saying they had reached an agreement to settle the matter out of court.
The trial court had granted the defense three weeks to conclude negotiations of settling the matter and appear before it to present progress.
The duo who were arrested in 2017, had been charged with forgery of land titles of a plot within Nakuru.
