Kiambu governor Ferdinand Waititu revealed that Deputy President William Ruto has nothing to stop from ascending to power after president retires.
Speaking on Sunday at Joy Celebrations Church in Naivasha graced by the deputy president, Waititu confessed that he admires deputy president bid to succeed president Uhuru Kenyatta which he has no doubt about it.
“We are waiting for your time to come to take sword as the president, you will address us when you will be in power and I know that you will make it that’s why am always tagging along with you knowing exactly where you have come from since when you were KANU secretary general,” Said Waititu.
Governor’s statement came after amid squabbles in the ruling party over heighten succession political temperatures which have seen a section of jubilee members criticizing President Kenyatta for marginalizing the region.
The second in command has been crisscrossing the region in what the political pundits attributed as premature campaigning ahead of 2022, thus it’s evident to have whipped central politicians to his court.
When the deputy president took over, he avoided succession politics and urged jubilee party members to preach peace reiterating that they should focus development to ensure big four agenda is achieved.
