Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka now claims that NASA leader Raila Odinga was forced to take the controversial oath as the People's President on January 30.
Kalonzo said the ODM chief was misled in his swearing-in that took place at Uhuru Park in Nairobi.
He said Raila was against the oath but he was forced into it by his "psychophants".
According to Kalonzo, NASA principals had not planned to take the oath but people who had other interests forced the idea.
“Raila was misled into taking the oath as the People’s President because initially as NASA principals we were against the idea,” Kalonzo said.
He spoke during an interview at a local television on Tuesday.
Kalonzo said he does not regret skipping Raila’s inauguration.
He said the swearing-in was not a good idea.
Kalonzo said other NASA principals, Musalia Mudavadi, Moses Wetangula and himself had rooted for a dialogue.
Kalonzo, Mudavadi, and Wetangula skipped the oathing.
The leaders were bashed for skipping the swearing-in that was presided over by the deported lawyer, Miguna Miguna.
