Kibwana said he is tired of what is happening in the party hence needed to move out.

"I'm tired of Wiper and whatever is happening there and I want to sever ties, will you allow me?", Kibwana said.

He said the Wiper leader Kalonzo  Musyoka has been trying to frustrate his leadership by using junior leaders from the party.

"Kalonzo has been using junior leaders to frustrate my leadership agenda. Recently, he used former MCAs to hurl insults at me at a funeral," he said.

Kibwana spoke during the opening of a new law court at Kwa-Kathoka in Makueni County, a function attended by Chief Justice David Maraga on Thursday.

The governor said he had had enough.

He asked Kalonzo to hand over the mantle of chairmanship to another person.

Kibwana poked holes on the party's democracy stating that it was sarcastic for the party to be called a Democratic Party, yet it had none.

He said lack of democracy in the party is among the reasons he's moving out of it.

"They said they want their chairmanship. Today I have left it for them, you can't call a party democratic and do otherwise," he said.

Kibwana rubbished claims that his counterparts and himself are dividing the community.

He said residents from Makueni County have been the most loyal supporters of Kalonzo and it's sad that Kalonzo's people are shamelessly hurling insults at him.
