There was drama on Friday in Bogetaorio village, Iranda in Mosocho, Kisii County after several pieces of meat were recovered from an illicit brew.
Area chief Charles Nyaoso confirmed the incident which has left locals in shock.
Nyaoso who was accompanied by Nyumba Kumi officials said they stormed a notorious illicit brew den at Harriet Nyandieka's house and in their effort to destroy it, they found pieces of meat in the brew.
"I was tipped off by members of the public that Harriet was boiling chang'aa. I alerted Nyumba kumi officials and we stormed the house to destroy the illicit brews," said the chief.
The administrator said the suspect after spotting him together with the Nyumba Kumi members ran away, abandoning the boiling brew.
"We found 300 litres of illicit brew the suspect was to boil and make chang'aa. We poured all the illicit brew. It was shocking when we discovered several pieces of meat in it," said Nyaoso.
