West Mugirango MP Vincent Kemosi on Thursday issued over Sh15 million cheques to various schools in his constituency.
The lawmaker, while speaking at Nyakemincha secondary, urged school head teachers to use the money wisely to improve school infrastructure.
"The money is meant to develop schools not school head teachers pocketing the money. I will in person go round in each school to ensure the money I have issued is doing something failure to which the head teachers must be held accountable," he noted.
He said EACC and DCI will not spare teachers who will be caught in the wrong side of the law.
"Any teacher who will be found diverting money meant for development in his or her school to his own pocket will face the full force of the law," he added.
The NASA allied MP reiterated he will prioritize education in his tenure.
"Poverty will be eradicated from our villages if our children goes to school. Parents should apply for constituency bursaries since I will issue the bursary funds transparently," Kemosi said.
He appealed to parents not to condone their children at home during school time.
