People tell lies each and every day.
Partners involve themselves in telling white lies in order to avoid discomfort and confrontation. They lie in order to either acquire something or manipulate their partner.
Depending on the type of lies, here are some common white lies that most people tell their partners;
1. "My phone died"
This is a common white lie that people use as the best excuse when they happen not to have picked their partner's phone call. Everyone at one point has experienced loss of signal or even low battery which made them unavailable through their phone. That way, one can highly question this type of a white lie.
2. "I was busy that day"
Partners may happen to turn down an invitation just because they don’t feel going to wherever place they are being asked to go. For this white lie, there is no harm even though on the day of invitation one needs to play low not to create suspicion.
3. “I totally forgot to do that thing you asked me to do”
It is easy to forget but not always. Sometimes, partners happen to assume doing things asked by their partner just because they don’t feel like doing. After not doing it, most people will tend to tell their partners that they forgot.
4. “I’m five minutes away”
When one promises his or her partner to pick them at a particular time and happen to be late, most of the partners will excuse themselves saying they are just five minutes away. Most people use this lie as a way of giving hope to their partners.
5. “I wasn’t checking him/her out”
This is a type of a lie that can bring you problems most especially when caught red-handed. Partners use this type of lie not because they are trying to hide their behaviour but because they are suggesting they have more things to hide.
