Renowned city lawyer Steve Ogolla has hit out at the Council of Legal Education over claims of Mass failure at the Kenya School of Law.In a tweet, the lawyer appeared to suggest that the council was not addressing the claims properly and was only responding with generalities.
He also fired shots at the LSK for responding with terse statements and nothing more.
"MASS FAILURE at Kenya School of Law is now part of the School's settled intellectual tradition. Students can be sure to fail, regardless. The Council of Legal Education will respond with glittering generalities, as always. The LSK will issue a terse statement, predictably. Shame," he wrote.
Before Law students can be admitted to the bar, they have to sit for exams at the Kenya Law School.
There have been concerns about students failing in their exams leading for calls for a review of how students are examined.
The Chief Executive of the Council of Legal Education Dr Gakeri told members of Parliament that the council relies on professionals in the legal field to mark exams.
"We rely on professionals of repute in the field. For example, moderators of our exams are judges of the Supreme Court and sometimes eminent accountants from reputable firms because there are units that touch on accounts,” Dr Gakeri said according to the Daily Nation.
