Police are investigating the death of a Form Three student, 17, which occurred outside a lodging facility at Njipship Market on Friday.
The girl was allegedly in the lodging where she was procuring an abortion together with her lover.
When her lover realised things were amiss, he took over.
Area chief Titus Tonui, said the girl was reportedly five months pregnant.
"The student had checked into the facility with a middle-aged man said to be her boyfriend. She had disappeared from home on Wednesday," Tonui said.
He added: "Upon realising that his lover was in so much pain, her boyfriend fled the lodging. He, however, asked one of the lodging attendants to look after a sick lady whom he had left in one of the rooms as he went to look for drugs."
The girl was later spotted crawling outside the lodging in a pool of blood.
She then died in a few minutes due to too much loss of blood.
The student's body was taken to Kapkatet District Hospital mortuary as police hunt for her suspected boyfriend.
