In an interview on Radio Maisha's 'Bunge La Maisha' Thursday morning, Passaris accused Sonko of mistreating and sidelining her on matters county leadership.

She narrated how the governor has been allegedly ignoring her concerns, downplaying her efforts and blocking her attempts to deliver in line with her mandate.

Passaris claimed that Sonko has not only been avoiding her but also ignoring her messages and calls, a demonstration that he wants nothing to do with her.

"Hata kuongea na yeye imekuwa vigumu maana hachukui simu na hajibu jumbe, pia hanihusishi katika uongozi wa kaunti kama inavyohitajika. (He has blocked all communication with me. This has made it hard for us to collaborate in county leadership as should be the case)," she said.

"Labda yuko na kazi nyingi ama amechaganyikiwa ama hataki tufanye kazi pamoja (maybe he has a reason for this, making it hard to conclude on the matter)," she added.

The vocal leader noted that the same has seen most of her development initiatives blocked by the county leadership, in what now turns out to be a supremacy battle.

According to Passaris, the county has blocked all her school toilet construction, school fencing and bicycle lane construction projects, arguing that the projects are under the county government.

"Project zangu zote zimekwama maana wanasema zote ni za kaunti. Kile tu ninachoweza kufanya ni kupeana bursary. (The only thing in have been left to do with the funds allocated to my office is the issuance of school bursaries)," she alleged.

The two hail from different political fronts, with Sonko being a member of the ruling Jubilee Party and Passaris a member of the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM).

In the previous general polls, Sonko rooted for former Woman Representative Rachel Shebesh who was a Jubilee Candidate.
