Former Nairobi governor aspirant Miguna Miguna has given a strong-worded lecture to Siaya senator James Orengo over Raila's titles.
Resorting to Twitter, Miguna said it was improper for Orengo to refer to Raila using contradictory terms, pointing at the lack of enough knowledge of English as the problem ailing the senator.
The exiled politician said that by raising the contradictions Orengo was posing shame to not only his personal profile but also to his status as a lawyer and that of the legal experts who are known to swim in majestic English.
"H. E. The Rt. Hon Raila Odinga, Mama Ida Odinga, Dr. Oburu Oginga and I joined Christians for Christmas Service at the ACK St. Peter's Nyamira Parish in Bondo," read Orengo's tween that began the controversy.
Miguna could take none of that as according to him, the term 'His Excellency' could only refer to a serving prime minister while that of the 'Right Honourable' was supposed to be used to refer to a former prime minister.
"Senioe Counsel, you are embarrassing yourself. Make up your mind whether Raila is "His Excellency" or "The Right Honourable." You cannot use both honourifics in one sentence in reference to the same person because no one can occupy both symbolic offices at the same time," he said.
The funny part of it all, however, was that Miguna also seemed not to know the spelling of 'Senior Counsel'.
Probably the word 'Senioe' will not be entering the books of law any time soon.
