Former Gor Mahia coach Dylan Kerr once accused police officers of demanding a bribe from him over what they claimed was a ‘fine’ for drunk driving.
The coach took to his Twitter account to accuse the police of the crime in September 2017, saying together with is the driver, the two were wrongly accused of driving under the influence of alcohol.
This case happened after Kerr had led his team to a 4-0 in over Nzoia United in a SportPesa Premier League match in Kisumu, and happened a few months after he had taken reigns at the club.
As part of his contractual obligation, Gor had hired a car and driver to chauffeur Kerr to work and on personal errands.
Kerr resigned as head coach of Gor on Thursday, writing to club chairman Ambrose Rachier saying he had secured another coaching role.
