Ruto says that President Uhuru Kenyatta’s government should be given time to deliver on its promises.

Speaking during a fundraiser at Kamahuha Girls High School on Wednesday, Ruto said that he is aware of a plan to block him from ascending to power but insisted that this is not the right time to do so.

He reiterated that he is now committed to service delivery and not sideshows by the opposition.

“Ule mtu wa kitendawili na watu yake wameanzisha mradi ati stop Ruto movement. Ati hiyo ndo mradi sasa niwaambie jameni hii mradi yenu ni ya 2022. Si mtungojee sisi tufanye kazi kwanza. Mtulize boli, tuliza boli wananchi wataamua. Wacheni kujisumbua. Wananchi wataamua,”said Ruto.

(That man of proverbs has teamed up with his people and formed a movement called ''stop Ruto''. They should know that Kenyans will gauge them based on development projects and not by joining a group of confused busybodies who are out to split our party)

He was accompanied by Murang'a Governor Mwangi wa Iria, MPs Jonah Mburu (Lari) Mary Waiguire (Maragua), Rigathi Gachagua (Mathira) and Women Representatives Sabina Chege (Murang'a) and Bomet's Joyce Korir.
