Ativities that take place in the shores are both positive and negative. Over 70% of teenagers living in the county make plans to be executed at various beaches but what exactly do they do?
1. Photography
Taking good quality pictures is the new 'cool' in town. On weekends or weekdays, you will always spot a group of teenagers having a photo shoot session at the shore.
2. Having dates
Most teenagers and young people schedule their dates at the beach. This is mainly because public beaches are free hence no cost is incurred as compared to going to a restaurant or fancy place.
3. Making out
When one visits a public beach on a weekday, especially the deserted areas, there is a high chance that he/she will spot at least two couples having a romantic exchange. This is a popular trend for most teenagers.
4. Sexual intercourse
If you reside in Mombasa, you have definitely heard of a case where two people were busted having sex at the shores. Even though this cases are rare during the day, they are definitely popular in the night. After major holidays, an indivudual might stumble upon a few used condoms in the morning on the shores.
5. Using drugs
Some teenagers use drugs without their parent's knowledge. Public beaches act as their private hideouts without the prying eyes of parents and neighbours.
