Police in Funyula constituency have arrested a woman who stunned a crowd after she said President Uhuru Kenyatta had sent her to make a pledge of Sh100 million during a fundraiser.
The woman stood during the function at St Cecilia Girls Nangina where they were fund-raising in aid of the construction of a hall and made the claim.
Area leaders including area MP Oundo Mudenyo were shocked by the move.
The woman said she had a letter direct from state house.
But how the government failed to observe protocol and send ‘anybody’ to represent the president left many stunned.
Police swung into action and arrested the woman for more grilling.
Interestingly, unlike other people who are bundled into a police car when arrested, the woman was treated well and even given a seat at the driver’s cabin in the police land cruiser.
The incident took place on Saturday.
