The DP has been finding himself at the centre of most of the scandals in the country, the latest one being the Arror and Kimwarer dams sagas, but has not been keen on clearing his name.

Speaking on Radio Maisha, Tuesday morning, Mutua warned that the DP risks getting into more trouble in future unless he comes out and clears his name.

"Akinyamaza hivi watu watasema kweli yeye ni mwizi. Ajitokeze na aseme alikopata vitu alivyo navyo na ili ajisafishe. (He will have to come out and cleanse himself, otherwise, if he keeps quite, people will say he is really a thief)," said the county boss.

The Maendeleo Chap Chap party leader also said that the DP has given Kenyans every reason to suspect him, judging by his kind of lifestyle and his surprising generosity, especially at fundraisers.

He wondered how Ruto manages to blow millions of shillings in fundraisers on a daily basis and seems to be giving more than President Uhuru Kenyatta, a royal.

"Iweje anatumia karibu milioni sita kila wiki katika harambee, pesa ambazo hata rais Uhuru Kenyatta aliyezaliwa katika familia ya kirais hatoi. (He spends about 6 million shillings in every week, monies that not even Uhuru who was born in a presidential family can produce. How is that possible?)," Mutua posed.

Similar questions have been repeatedly raised by the opposition previously, with the DP hitting back, terming his opposers a lot of selfish politicians who are unwilling to invest in heaven.
