The MPs claim that Kibwana is not adding value as the party's chairman.

They said the Makueni governor is using his position to undermine the party.

Led by Mwingi Central MP Gideon Mulyungi, the Wiper politicians want Kibwana to pack his bags and leave the party.

Speaking separately on Saturday, the MPs vowed to marshal support to force Kibwana out of the Kalonzo Musyoka led party.

"Governor Kibwana should be gentleman enough, pack his bags and quit Wiper instead of waiting to be forced out," Mulyungi said.

He addressed the press in Mwingi town on Saturday.

The vocal MP said they no longer want Kibwana in the party.

He accused the Wiper chairman of inciting Kamba community against Kalonzo.

Mulyungi alleged that Kibwana has been moving around insulting the Wiper leader.

"We cannot continue to have a person who goes around insulting our leader as chairman," he added.

On his part,  Mwingi West MP Charles Nguna accused Kibwana of blackmailing Kalonzo.

Nguna, who addressed the press in Mwingi town on Friday said Wiper members and supporters want Kibwana out.

He accused Kibwana of working with Kalonzo's rivals.

"Kibwana has failed and should relinquish his seat as Wiper party chairman and quit the party altogether," Nguna said.

The MP said they will not tolerate people who are out to taint Kalonzo's name for political gain.

Nguna maintained that Kalonzo is the endorsed Kamba presidential flag bearer in the 2022 presidential election.

Kibwana has, however, denied frustrating Kalonzo's 2022 presidential bid.

He said he cannot be forced to support Kalonzo though.

On Wednesday during a joint rally in Masinga, Machakos County, governors Kibwana (Makueni), Charity Ngilu (Kitui), and their Machakos counterpart Alfred Mutua vowed to work together.

They promised to chart a new political direction for the Kamba people.
