President Uhuru Kenyatta must demand loyalty from politicians in his camp before he completes his second and final term in office, city-based lawyer Donald Kipkorir has said.
According to the lawyer, Uhuru will not find it easy to govern the nation if he continues to face rebellion from different factions.
He said that the rise in temperature in the Jubilee camp could affect the delivery of service by President Kenyatta.
Kipkorir, who has been very vocal on matters of national interest, said that there is the need for unity if Uhuru has to end his reign on a high note when that time comes.
“President Uhuru Kenyatta must demand & get loyalty of his Party MPs lest he is rendered a eunuch soon... One can’t govern without legislative control ... His Big4 Agenda & fight against Corruption will come cropper with rebellious MPs. He has Monopoly Of Power & must use it, (sic),” he said.
The remarks by the lawyer come at a time when President Uhuru and his Deputy William Ruto seem not to be reading from the same script.
The allies of the two leaders have different opinions as far as the fight against graft is concerned. Ruto’s allies feel Uhuru wants to finish him politically in the name of fighting the vice.
