Noordin was appointed DPP in April last year.

According to his father (Senator Haji), he did not at any point influence his son’s appointment to the position.

In an interview on KTN News on Thursday, the Garissa Senator said that his son’s appointment was purely on merit.

Senator Haji said that he did not even know that his son would be picked as the DPP.

“Those who say that I influenced his appointment are people with minute brains, how many Kenyans have been appointed to that position? Was it because of their fathers? To be honest, I did not even know he would be appointed,” Senator Haji said during the interview.

Senator Haji who co-chairs the Building Bridges Committee with Busia Senator Amos Wako asked Kenyans to support his son as he fights corruption.

Since taking office, DPP Haji has taken several top government officials to court over graft allegations.

The fearless Garissa born DPP says he is determined to end corruption and impunity in the country.
