Nandi Senator Samson Cherargei has rubbished former Jubilee vice chair David Murathe's remarks, terming him as a political conman.
Cherargei says Murathe is seeking to drive his own interest to block DP from ascending to the top office in the land.
Speaking in Citizen TV on Wednesday morning interview, Senator Cherargei claimed that Murathe is striving to create disunity in the ruling party against the handshake environment.
“Kenyans will not be surprised because it seems that most of his sponsors of this political conman are hell-bent to prepare the ground for what we call political endorsement,” said Cherargei.
Murathe resigned barely a month ago affirming that his position is not tenable opposing the party principal, thus yesterday night in an exclusive interview in Citizen Tv, controversial former Katanga Mp reiterated that he has no personal differences with the Deputy president.
“He is a principal and I have risen that it is a legal argument. The deputy president will not serve as the presidency yet he has been in the presidency with the president for two terms,” argued Murathe, reiterating that in politics, there is no permanent enemy.
However, Justice and Legal Affairs chair urged that the two Jubilee party leaders are a focus to unite Kenya in the spirit of handshake occasioned by President Uhuru Kenyatta and ODM party leader Raila Odinga.
