She became the first female MP from North Eastern to be elected to Parliament.

Apart from politics, Noor is human rights crusader and activist.

She champions the interests of women and girls and has been vocal in the push against Female Genital Mutilation (FGM).

Noor’s political career is steadily rising and political pundits argue that she will be among top politicians to watch out in the 2022 succession politics.

A teacher and a civic educator, Noor has created her name in charity programs in Garissa and the larger North Eastern region.

Here is a look at her academic background and highest qualification.

Noor was born and raised up in Ijara, Garissa County.

She also schooled in Ijara for her primary and secondary education.

She has a Diploma certificate in community development and has worked with top international organizations like Care International, Oxfam, UNHCR, and world vision.

The Ijara MP also has a Master’s degree in Executive and Organizational Development from the United States International University (USIU).

Noor who joined active politics in 1997, says that her agenda is to serve Ijara people wholeheartedly.

She says that her desire to serve the people and deliver services made her join active politics.

A close ally of Garissa Township MP Aden Duale, Noor wants elected leaders to stop politicking and deliver what they promised their electorate.

There are claims that the MP whose political star is rising could bid for a top seat in the 2022 general election.
