Several people have been injured after a wall collapsed at Kahawa Wendani area, Kiambu County Tuesday afternoon.
Two people have been rescued from the rubble.
A team of rescuers from the Kenya Red Cross have been dispatched to aid in rescue efforts.
According to the Kenya Red Cross, the two people who were rescued from the rubble were rushed to Thika Level Five Hospital for treatment.
The wall bordered a building which was under construction. Witnesses say it tumbled down at 11 am.
Area MCA Cyrus Omondi said that the ongoing excavations in the ward could have contributed to the collapsing of the wall.
He also said that it had been standing for many years and could have become weak.
