From the contractors working on various projects to investors in various businesses, Chinese nationals are moving to Kenya by the numbers.
Some of the great works the Chinese have accomplished in the country include the construction of the Thika Super Highway and the Standard Gauge Railway.
However, some of the Chinese nationals have been caught in controversies. Last month, a Chinese motorcycle dealer was deported after a video of him abusing Kenyans and President Uhuru Kenyatta went viral on social media. There have also been claims of the Chinese harassing Kenyan SGR employees.
Despite their short stay in the country, a section of them has learnt some of the local languages.
A video of Chinese kids singing a Kikuyu song was recently shared on Twitter by Verified@njiiru.
In the video, the Chinese kids can be heard singing the song while someone in the backgrounds leads them.
The video attracted a number of reactions from Kenyans, with some of them joking that the kids are being trained so as to vie for political posts when they grow up.
