It was a dramatic scene at African Independent Pentecostal Church of Africa (AIPCA) Uiguano Rurii Church, in Nyandarua County, on Sunday after a fight broke out between two factions.
Trouble started when Bishop Ayub Kigotho tried to access the church for a service.
A group of worshippers opposed to him swung into action and ejected him from the church compound.
In dance and songs, the worshippers said Ayub is a trouble maker.
Wrangles in the church started in January this year over leadership of the church as two groups, one led by Ayub and another by Suleiman Kimani, fought each other.
Despite Ayub turning up with police officers, worshippers could not allow him to enter the church.
The drama attracted curious members of the public who hit out at the church for failing to be good role models in the society.
"They have the spirit of Mau Mau, that is why they fight often," a resident said.
