Many confuse between the two as they are nearly the same.

The problem with liking someone is that, it can’t work perfectly in a long term relationship.

Here are some differences between loving and liking someone.

1. Like: you are thrilled to be with the person; love: you find genuine happiness when you are with him/her

When you like someone, you will end up getting excited being with that person while for love, it’s more of being happy.

By loving someone, you will end up having a joyful feeling that is unexplainable.

2. Like: it happens overnight; Love: it takes time

It takes a short time to like someone and this feeling also expires fast.

However, it takes time to fall in love with someone and this feeling is expected to last for long.

3. Like: you get turned off; Love: you accept every flaw of the person

When you like someone then you discover something negative about them, this may be enough reason for you to break up with them. However, when you love someone, you will learn to accept and appreciate them despite the different flaws that they may have.
