Kapseret Member of Parliament Oscar Sudi has hit out at opposition leaders Raila Odinga and Musalia Mudavadi over their presidential ambitions.
Speaking during the burial of Kibushi Sammy in Kongoni village, Nagili, on Friday, Sudi argued that Deputy President William Ruto has an edge over the two National Super Alliance (NASA) principles because he doesn't take alcohol.
In a video captured during the ceremony, Sudi noted that Raila and Mudavadi are fond of drinking whisky and wine, adding that was the main problem ailing the two seasoned politicians.
"Let me tell you a secret. Do you know what the problem ailing Musalia and Raila is? DP William Ruto doesn't take whisky or wine but Musalia and Raila do. I also drink a little alcohol and that's why Ruto is always ahead of us," said Sudi.
He further challenged the duo to traverse the county in search of votes, adding the presidency can only be won through touring different regions to woo voters.
Sudi said Mudavadi must work hard to clinch the seat, noting that the DP will beat him with a wide margin in the upcoming polls.
"They sleep and when they wake up DP Ruto is either in Bungoma or somewhere else in the country. They then start complaining and calling him all sorts of names. No seat will come on a silver platter," Sudi said.
"We will easily win the elections come 2022. You must tour different regions for you to clinch the seat... If you stay in Nairobi drinking alcohol and claim you want the seat, where will it come from?" he added.
