An elected MP allied to the Jubilee party in Nyamira County has been criticized by local youths for allegedly sleeping on the job.
A section of youths led by Dennis Marube claimed that Kitutu Masaba MP Shadrack Mose has been loitering around the country with DP Ruto yet he has achieved nothing in his constituency.
"Mose was elected to serve constituents and not accompany DP Ruto to unnecessary meetings. The lawmaker must wake up and perform," he said.
Marube reiterated that elected leaders should step up efforts to deliver irrespective of how they were voted during the August 8, 2017 polls.
"It is sad that Mr Mose is serving his own interests and that of his Jubilee party instead of serving people's interests. Let him consult the former MP Timothy Bosire so that he can get development ideas for the constituents," he added.
Nyamira County ODM party leader Richard Kaka claimed that the MP is self-centered.
"The lawmaker is selfish since he won the seat. We are reminding him that failing to serve the interests of the people will land him in trouble come 2022," noted Kaka.
