Singer Esther Akoth famously known as Akothee has reacted to 'reports' that she was set to land a lucrative job in government.
Amid President Uhuru Kenyatta's looming Cabinet reshuffle, a local daily on Monday, April Fools Day, reported that Akothee had been nominated as the new Art, Culture and Heritage Cabinet Secretary.
The singer has taken the trending news with mixed feelings.
Basing on the emoji she attached to the piece of information talking about her appointment, Akothee expressed surprise and at the thankfulness noting that she was praying for it.

In another post, the controversial artist asked envious people to keep it calm, urging them to wait for their own day as "there is enough for everyone".

Akothee has been in the forefront in helping hunger-stricken Turkana residents, winning many Kenyans' hearts.
