President Uhuru Kenyatta should order for the arrest of Deputy William Ruto over corruption, former Bonchari MP Protus Kebati Momanyi has said.
The former legislator said DP Ruto should be arrested and charged over graft in a court of law.
"DP Ruto has been linked to corruption several times with the recent report ranking him the most corrupt individual in this country.
"President Uhuru Kenyatta should order EACC and police to arrest Ruto and arraign him in court the same way other people are being arrested for engaging in corruption," he said.
Mr. Kebati stated that corruption will not end if high profile people like DP Ruto will not be arrested to face prosecution.
He noted that the rate at which DP Ruto acquired wealth is questionable and he should stop lying to Kenyans that he acquired wealth through hard work.
"Ruto is lying to Kenyans that he acquired his wealth legally. The truth will only be known once he will be arraigned in a court of law," he added.
Kebati said embezzlement of public funds will derail development in the country.
