The Ethics and Anti-corruption Commission has arrested five Nyeri County staff members.

The five, who are members of the Public Service Board, are linked to a scandal in the hiring of the county's staff.

Those arrested are Alice Waruguru Muita (board Chairperson), Anthony Ndonga Muriu (board CEO/ Secretary), Beatrice Wanjiru Gikaru (board member), Geoffrey Wachira Mahinda (board member) and Shelomith Wanjiru Nderitu (board member).

EACC said they will be arraigned in court tomorrow.
