The western region has been a bone of contention in recent times.
The political bandwagon has been camping the region in a move to woe supporters to vote for them and ditch the culture of a one man battalion.
Recently the Deputy President William Ruto has made more visits in the Western region more so, Kakamega and Busia County in a way to consolidate the support base.
In a rare occasion Ruto has been receiving a delegation from across the region, pledging him support in 2022.
Towards the end of last year, Wiper's Kalonzo Musyoka also visited parts of the country and assured that he'll work with all leaders regardless of the political circle.
Busia Governor Sospeter Ojaamong who is a close ally to the opposition leader Raila Odinga reiterated during Kalonzo's visit to the Teso region welcomed the move by Kalonzo.
Ojaamong also received the DP Ruto during a major a fundraiser at S.A Kolanya Boys in Teso North constituency and pledged to offer his overwhelming support to the second in command.
The trooping of top political leaders to western Kenya has been termed as a strategy for the 2022 State House race . The the leaders see Western region vote block as the determinant for who becomes the next president.
