That, however, did not happen as they were killed in a road accident along the Nakuru-Kericho highway.

The two were travelling to their home when the tragic crash occurred at Chepsir. Chepkoech was five-months pregnant.

The Friday, January 15, accident left nine people dead. It occurred after a tanker, driving on the wrong lane, collided head with the Nissan matatu.

Musonik, 27, was a teacher in Nyandarua and was breaking for the midterm holiday.

Together with his wife Chepkoech, 25, they decided to travel to their rural home.

Little did they know that the trip would be the end of their lives and that of their 5-month old unborn baby.

Married in 2016, everything was set for the young couple.

“They were a jovial couple, with great dreams,” Evans Kirui, a friend of the two, said.

Charles Tonui, Musonik’s father, said the death of the three is a big blow to the family.

The distraught father is now calling on well-wishers to help him bury his children.
