Nairobi governor Mike Mbuvi Sonko has shown his support to Muslims as they celebrate the Eid al-Fitr to mark the end of Ramadan period.
On Tuesday, Sonko met Muslims at Nyayo National Stadium, Nairobi and showered them with various gifts.

Feast of the Breaking of the Fast celebrations which will be held Wednesday was announced by Interior Cabinet Secretary Fred Matiang' i recently.
Sonko who had earlier accompanied President Uhuru Kenyatta to Mosque gave Muslims food, cash among other others
"As a Governor I chose to celebrate with my Muslim brothers and sisters by providing foodstuffs, cash, clothes to over 5000 families from all over Nairobi county as they look forward to celebrating Eid ul-Fitr tomorrow," Sonko noted on Facebook on Tuesday.

Furthermore, the Nairobi county boss revealed that he had a prayer with the Muslims during an alasiri prayer. He left a message to all Muslims who are celebrating the festival in unison across the world.
"May Allah flood your lives with happiness on this occasion, your heart with love, your soul with spiritual nourishment, your mind with wisdom because in every shared smile and laughter; In every silent prayer answered; In every opportunity that comes your way – may Allah bless you immensely! May Allah bring you joy, happiness, peace and prosperity on this blessed occasion. Wishing you all a happy occasion of Eid Mubarak," Sonko noted.
