Kibra MP Ken Okoth is an inspiration to many Kenyans.
Being one of the youngest MPs in parliament, Okoth has been very vocal on matters of national interest.
Life took a different twist when he was diagnosed with cancer.
Unlike other patients who lose hope and wait for their deaths, Okoth is indeed a cancer warrior.
He believes everything happens for a reason and he is destined for great things in life. The lawmaker has been battling with colerectal cancer.
However, he has never let cancer take away his smile despite the hard times he goes through.
He doesn’t fear speaking out about his condition because he believes he is here to change lives.
“I was diagnosed with stage-four colorectal cancer with metastases to the liver,” he revealed.
He also revealed that the diagnosis was not easy. At the early stages of life he was being treated of bacterial infections and other diseases before the doctors discovered there was something more serious than he thought in the first place.
When he was confirmed to be suffering from cancer, the lawmaker took a step of courage and now is a happy man.
Last year, he underwent vicious treatment to contain the disease.
